I’m getting a lot of questions these days about Life Navigation Lab, which I guess is a good sign that my increased social media presence and storytelling about it is working! (With credit to Celeste Lustosa at Lustosa Marketing for the advice and encouragement!). I thought it might be helpful to give a quick summary of what I’m currently offering over there, and invite you to find out more.
In a nutshell, Life Navigation Lab is the coming together of my long-term passion to support people to navigate their way into the second half of life with intention, confidence and purpose. I started my working life in community-based work with young people, then isolated older adults in Scotland, worked in aged care with ACH Group here in South Australia, then moved ‘upstream’ to design supports for people around ‘retirement’. But there is a heap of life in between youth work and retirement, which we’re just meant to know how to navigate! And it’s often at times of change and transition when that navigation can become really hard.
In Life Navigation Lab I am designing opportunities for people at any stage in life, and particularly at key transition points, to reflect on what matters to them and to design life with intention and purpose. As an accredited organisational coach, Life Navigation Lab is a vehicle for me to offer:
– professional career coaching to people who can’t access it through their workplace (if your employer is paying, check out our coaching page on this website instead!). Coaching can be 1:1 or in small groups.
– transition support packages for people working though a major career transition (including into ‘life beyond work’) which may include coaching or access to specific courses and resources. This can be anything from one short group course to unlimited 1:1 coaching, for anything from 1-12 months.
– an ongoing supportive community for people who want to live their life with intention and purpose.
Some people access the support they need and move on, while others chose to stay connected with the growing Life Navigation Lab community, to continue to access peer support and to easily tap back into professional coaching support when they need it. This community gets together every month for a gathering online, when we explore a topic that is relevant and poses challenges and opportunities at times of life transition.
